More warm air inside the cabin. Less heat in the engine compartment.
The Triebwerk heater fan replaces the original electric fan in the engine compartment and, thanks to its higher airflow, ensures efficient cabin heating—perfect for driving in colder temperatures.
Increased airflow: resulting in better heating performance
Warm air in the cabin quickly and fog-free windows in no time
Run-on function: The fan continues to run after the engine is turned off while still hot
A cleaner, more streamlined look: Removing the large OEM fan creates a clean, modern look
More space in the engine compartment: The compact design ensures better exhaust air circulation and easier access to other components
No error log entries: Fully compatible with the sensitive heating/air conditioning control system
Easy replacement: Plug-and-play, custom-fit retrofit solution for the 964 and 993 heater duct
Various finishing options: chemically smoothed printed parts and clear-coated full-carbon parts
Triebwerk - Porsche 964 RS and 993 RS heater duct | Product presentation
Warm feet and still look good? That doesn't have to be a contradiction in terms! Because the new Triebwerk heater fan for 964 and 993 provides a remedy - in a rather ingenious way!
The problem is well known to friends of the 964 and 993 model series: You can't do without the original auxiliary heater fan in the engine compartment. The structure, which is reminiscent of a hairdryer, looks anything but attractive. Aesthetically minded enthusiasts therefore like to use a curved replacement pipe, which can also be made of carbon fiber and at least meets visual requirements. The downside of the beauty treatment: warm heating air does not reach the front of the footwell, at least not to a sufficient extent. But what to do? Our engineering team at Triebwerk thought about this and came up with a solution that we think is pretty clever and would like to present here.
The new development was manufactured thanks to the support of Composite Impulse from Gevelsberg and, in addition to a visually appealing carbon molded part in the upper visible area, consists of an elastic hose middle phase and an end piece inserted into the bottom of the end plate with the integrated, original series resistor, the temperature sensor and the motor connection. The special feature of this ensemble is the turbo blower hidden inside, which now shovels plenty of warm air forward into the footwell. After installing our first (small) production-ready Triebwerk heater fan, we convinced ourselves of its functionality and are more than thrilled: Cold feet are a thing of the past, even with an engine compartment that has been consistently cleaned or painted in a light color.
Until now, you had to suffer to drive a beautiful 964. Incidentally, this was also the case in our Backdate nine-eleven models - dealing with the heating problem in these top-class nine-eleven variants gave us the idea of tackling the issue in an innovative new way.
